Step Back in Time with a Visit to Pennsbury Manor in Morrisville
September 27, 2016 | klein
If you are a history buff, then you must visit Pennsbury Manor in Morrisville. It was home to William Penn, one of the most well known Quakers in history and founder of the state of Pennsylvania. The home was reconstructed and opened to the public in 1939.
Everything on the 43-acre estate is representative of the 17th century, including the people. The employees at the manor dress and act as if it is the early colonial period, allowing visitors to experience life the way William Penn and his family had. Pack a lunch and have a picnic on the grounds, and try to visit on a Sunday, when the locals exhibit their skills!
